Group Bio

Un/Heard's mission is to gather people through choral music to elevate the voices of our LGBTQ+ community. Our story began in 2023 with our first concert, Into the Darkness, inviting our community to be aware of the struggles that our LGBTQ+ community suffers in an unsupportive environment and to help them see the power that we have to embrace, care for and be a positive presence in each other’s lives. Our second concert, Stop Shooting, brought awareness not only to gun violence and hate crimes towards our LGBTQ+ community, especially the transgender community, but also made a statement that we have the power now to change this awful reality with deliberate acts of kindness.

We continue our mission with our second season, which includes They Are Blessed! (advocating for the non-binary community), Home, Here, Now (discussing safe places for LGBTQIA+ people away from home). and Holding Each Other, Forever (creating definitive connections with the LGBTQIA+ community and allies to move forward to a kinder place for our current and future LGBTQIA+ generation).
