Brittany Haywood, currently in her third year as the Associate Choir Director at Alvarado High School, earned a Bachelor of Music Education degree from Baylor University and has begun graduate work in music education at Vandercook College. She also serves as the Training Choir Director for the Dallas Symphony Children’s Chorus. While in Alvarado, her choirs have consistently earned sweepstakes trophies at University Interscholastic League (UIL).
For the past thirteen years, in addition to teaching, Brittany has been a collaborative pianist for several TMEA region concerts, UIL concert and solo contests, as well as many school concerts. She also enjoys playing piano at her church, First Presbyterian Church in Duncanville, Texas. She is married to Joseph Haywood and loves spending time with their four dogs, Cocoa, Pearl, Little Man, and Mr. P.
