Mr. Cornileus Roberson is a proud native of Dallas, TX, and currently serves as the Head Director of Choral Activities at Crowley High School in Crowley Independent School District. He is in his thirteenth year of teaching and first year with Crowley ISD. Choirs under Mr. Roberson have earned numerous UIL Sweepstakes and festival awards. His top chamber ensemble has performed in Washington D.C at the National Basilica Shrine, Naval Observatory in Minneapolis, and the National Cathedral. His students also helped the city of Lancaster, TX, earn the national distinction of being named an “All-American City” by performing Gjeilo’s Ubi Caritas in front of a national audience. Mr.Roberson’s students earned top chairs in TMEA Region XX Honor Choirs and received superior ratings at TSSEC. Mr. Roberson is also a gifted pianist, having accompanied many solos and choral ensembles across Texas. Mr. Roberson’s professional memberships include Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia Fraternity, The Texas Music Educators Association, American Choral Directors Association, Dallas Symphony Chorus, Sankofa Chorale, Dallas Metroplex Musician’s Association, and the National Association of Negro Music. He holds a Bachelor of Music from Midwestern State University.
